On a side note, I think I would also like to nominate The Sims 2 Mod Retribution for the best skin overlay pack in the The Sims Resource. The textures are natural looking, but you can use it as it is or make it your own. It is a pack with quite a lot of different skins and you can download it by clicking the image below.

You can change the code, but it does not change the look of the skin. You only change it's place on the sims. There is no real benefit, except that you change the color, but the overlays are already very colorful.

For the people that want a new skin overlay, they could use The Sims 2 Mods Selection. Like The Sims Resource, this pack contains more than one skin and you can get it with only one download. I think it is better, because this pack includes a lot more skins and this way you can find the ones you like faster, but the downside is that it is not really easy to install.
